Web copy writer / Content manager
Full time - Starting Pay: negotiable

Qualified candidates should have a background in communications, public relations, or journalism, in-depth knowledge of the Internet, and should be strongly self motivated.

Job Duties:

• Development of interesting written copy for web sites relating to hair and beauty including product reviews, opinions on related current events, and informational articles
• Management of current web content, and development of new web content through various means including press releases, RSS feeds, interviews with relevant personalities, and soliciting article submissions from free-lance writers
• Interacting with possible content providers via email or telephone
• Working closely with web development staff to produce cohesive online communications in order to drive web traffic and online sales
• Management of user message boards and online forums

Required Skills:

• Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related areas of study
• 1-3 years experience writing or editing content for online media, printed media, or other forms of advertising media
• Strong written communication skills
• An interest in beauty related topics
• Creativity and ingenuity
• Experience with Microsoft Office productivity tools
• In-depth knowledge of the Internet including search engine functionality, web browsers, and email

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with web development tools such as Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia DreamWeaver
• Experience with graphics applications such as Adobe Photoshop
• Some experience with sales and marketing
